Australian Campaign Against Plastic

Plastics are killing us, killing our animals and polluting our environment. Sales and the dollar have become more important than care for the environment and public health.

I am working on a project to raise awareness of the damaging effects of plastics on the environment and public health. The Australian Campaign Against Plastic is being organized through the Peoples Media Network, a newly-formed independent non-profit organization aimed at educating and raising awareness of issues of public concern not being covered by mainstream media. It's website http://www.peoplesmedianetwork.org.au/ is under construction and will act as an Australian clearing house for information.

Mission statement

• to raise awareness of the damaging effect of plastics on the environment, wildlife and public health
  
• to raise awareness of practices which put profit above care for the environment and public health

• to raise awareness of the impending petrocollapse and end to our petroleum-based lifestyle

• to encourage a need to change our culture away from one of luxury, affluence, possessions and wealth to a simpler lifestyle with much less production and consumption
  
• to protest and fight against unfairness and unjustness
